Central Arkansas wins 107-94 shootout with Northwestern St

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) Justin Foreman scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help Central Arkansas beat Northwestern State 107-94 on Monday night.

The 107 points are Central Arkansas' second highest total of the season. The Bears scored 112 in a win against New Orleans on Feb. 6.

Jordan Howard finished with 19 points, Mathieu Kamba had 16, and Jake Zuilhof added 15 for Central Arkansas (6-16, 5-7 Southland). Kamba and Zuilhof each added 10 boards.

Sabri Thompson hit six 3s and led Northwestern State (7-16, 4-9) with 25 points. Zeek Woodley had 17 points for the Demons.

Central Arkansas held a 10-point lead at the half and extended it to 61-41 on a Derreck Brooks layup with 16:45 left in the game.

The Demons cut it back to 66-56 on a Tra'von Joseph trey but got no closer, as the Bears answered with a quick 8-0 spurt to effectively ice it.
