Ken Horton and Markeys Dean had a double-double each and Central Connecticut State defeated Maryland-Baltimore County 82-74 on Saturday night.
Horton scored 24 points and had 11 rebounds, and Dean contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Devils, who have begun 3-0 for the first time since the 1998-99 season.
Central Connecticut State's Shemik Thompson scored 19 points to become the 32nd player in school history to reach 1,000.
The Blue Devils trailed by as many as 11, 28-17, in the first half, but outscored the Retrievers (0-3) 32-10 over the final 10 minutes of the period. Central Connecticut State shot 52.6 percent from the field in the first half (20 of 38) for a 49-38 halftime lead.
It was the 23rd straight win for the Blue Devils when scoring at least 80 points.
Chris De La Rosa led UMBC with 30 points and 11 rebounds.
