Ken Horton scored a career-high 34 points and Shemik Thompson had 25 as Central Connecticut State defeated Army 101-87 on Monday night.

The Blue Devils, 2-0 for the first time since the 2000-01 season, scored 100 points for only the fifth time under 15-year head coach Howie Dickenman.

Central Connecticut State trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half, but outscored the Black Knights (1-1) 22-6 in the final five minutes before halftime to take a 50-44 lead. Horton scored 18 points and Thompson 16 in the first half.

The Blue Devils built an 11-point lead early in the second half, but Army rallied for a 72-71 advantage with 10:55 remaining. Central Connecticut State responded with a 30-15 run in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Julian Simmons scored 23 and Ella Ellis added 20 for the Black Knights.
