BYU guard Jimmer Fredette is entering his name in the 2010 NBA draft but will keep his college eligibility by not hiring an agent.

The junior announced Monday that he's entering the draft so he can explore opportunities in the NBA.

Players who have not signed with an agent can return to college by withdrawing from the draft by May 8.

In the meantime, Fredette can attend pre-draft scouting camps and work out with NBA teams.

An All-American, Fredette led BYU to a record 30 wins in the 2009-10 season and a first-round win in the NCAA tournament, which was the team's first since 1993.
