Buzzer-beating 3 lifts Dartmouth over IPFW 68-67

HANOVER, N.H. (AP) Connor Boehm made a 3-pointer at the buzzer on Friday to give Dartmouth its first victory of the season 68-67 over IPFW.

The Dartmouth (1-2) crowd waited to celebrate until officials reviewed the play and confirmed Boehm was behind the arc.

Isaiah McCray missed two free throws for IPFW (3-2) with 35 seconds left, but stole the ball back from Alex Mitola and dunked to put IPFW up 66-65 with 21 seconds left.

Gabas Maldunas missed a jumper and Dartmouth sent Joe Reed to the free-throw with 9 seconds left. Reed made the first and missed the second to extend the IPFW lead to 67-65.

Mitola led Dartmouth with 21 points, Maldunas added 18, and Boehm finished with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Steve Forbes had 19 points, Reed and Joe Edwards scored 12 apiece, and McCray had 10. Reed also had 10 rebounds.
