Buffalo wins 11th straight over Northern Illinois, 90-78
DEKALB, Ill. (AP) Lamonte Bearden scored 23 points, grabbed seven rebounds and passed out seven assists and Buffalo extended Northern Illinois' losing streak to three games with a 90-78 victory Tuesday night.
The Bulls reached the midway point of the Mid-American Conference season winning five of their last six games and extending Buffalo's win streak over the Huskies to 11 straight. Buffalo played six of its first nine MAC games on the road and now opens a season-long three-game homestand.
CJ Massinburg hit 11of 12 from the line, grabbed seven boards, passed for five assists and finished with 16 points for Buffalo (13-9, 6-3). Willie Conner and Nick Perkins each added 14 points. The Bulls had 16 assists on 24 made baskets in the game.
Marshawn Wilson scored 25 points to lead Northern Illinois (16-6, 5-4). Marin Maric added 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Jaylen Key added 12 points.
