Zach Filzen matched a career high with 23 points and Byron Mulkey added 20 as Buffalo defeated Toledo 81-58 on Thursday, extending the Bulls' winning streak to six.

Filzen and Mulkey went a combined 16 for 26 from the floor (61.5 percent), including 9 of 16 from 3-point range (56.3 percent) and Buffalo shot 59.6 percent as a team (31 of 52).

The Bulls (14-6, 6-2 Mid-American Conference) led throughout, but a 29-11 run that spanned 13:32 in the second half extended an eight-point advantage to 26, 81-55, with 1:16 left to play.

Javon McCrea added 12 points and Mitchell Watt 10 for Buffalo, which outrebounded the Rockets 32-17 and posted a 42-18 scoring edge in the paint. Mulkey also had five rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Hayden Humes scored 13 points and Reese Holliday had 11 for Toledo (4-18, 1-7), which has lost four straight and nine of its last 10 games.
