Buffalo 79, Houghton 47
Zach Filzen had 21 points, making five 3-pointers, and Buffalo remained undefeated at home with a 79-47 rout against Houghton on Saturday.
All 11 Buffalo players scored and grabbed at least one rebound to help the Bulls (7-3) improve to 5-0 at home this season. Freshman Corey Raley-Ross scored 16 points on 6 of 7 shooting and Titus Robinson added 13.
Buffalo shot 60.9 percent (14 of 23) from the floor in the first half and went on a 19-4 run on the way to a 43-22 lead at halftime. Houghton, of the NAIA, got no closer than 17 points the rest of the way.
Mitchell Watt tied a career high with nine rebounds for the Bulls, who outrebounded Houghton 41-23. Buffalo was also dominant in the paint, outscoring the Highlanders 38-14.
Ryan Shay led Houghton with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Devin Paige added 12.
