Byron Mulkey hit a basket with 12.3 seconds remaining to give Buffalo a 56-54 win over Army on Wednesday night.
Zach Filzen scored 14 points, Mitchell Watt added 12 and Mulkey had 10 for the Bulls (4-2, who have won three of their past four games.
Buffalo jumped out to an 11-1 lead, but trailed 24-22 at halftime, then led by as many as six points in the second half. Trailing 54-52 with 47 seconds remaining, Army then tied it on two free throws by Ella Ellis, who scored 12 points on 12 of 14 shooting from the foul line. He was 0 for 9 from the field and the Black Knights shot only 23.6 percent (13 of 55) from the field for the game.
Buffalo, meanwhile, made 42.6 percent of its field goal attempts (20 of 47).
Jeremy Hence scored 21 points and Julian Simmons added 10 for Army (4-3), which has lost two in a row.
