Bucknell beats Loyola (Md.) 87-52 to stay in 1st in Patriot

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) Stephen Brown scored 12 points and Bucknell beat Loyola (Md.) 87-52 Wednesday night to maintain a one-game lead in the Patriot League.

Nana Foulland had a 3-point play with one second left in the first half as Bucknell closed on a 16-2 run for a 36-25 lead. The Bison outscored Loyola 11-4 after halftime to extend their lead to 18 points.

Loyola scored just 12 points through the first 11 minutes of the second half and trailed by 24.

Foulland and Chris Hass each had 11 points for Bucknell (14-12, 11-4) and Zach Thomas added 10.

The Bison snapped a two-game losing streak and won their seventh straight in the series.

Andre Walker paced Loyola (8-18, 7-8) with 10 points. The Greyhounds were held to 14-of-45 shooting (31 percent) and were outrebounded 42-28.
