Bucknell 65, Columbia 57
Mike Muscala recorded his sixth double-double of the season and Bucknell used a big second-half run to rally and beat Columbia 65-57 Saturday in a nonconference matchup.
Muscala scored a season-high 29 points and pulled down a career-best 19 rebounds for Bucknell (6-1), who shot 51.7 percent (15 of 29) in the second half.
Columbia (4-3) opened the game on a 25-8 run but Bucknell held the Lions to just two field goals the rest of the half to trail 32-25 at intermission.
The Lions pushed their lead to 44-34 at the 14:29 mark of the second half, but Muscala converted a free throw, layup and 3-pointer on consecutive possessions and Joe Willman added a jumper to cut the deficit to 44-41.
Bucknell took its first lead of the half, 47-46, behind a Muscala jumper and outscored Columbia 18-11 over the final 7 minutes to put the game away.
