Braxton scores 17 points; St. Francis (PA) beats Longwood

LORETTO, Pa. (AP) Keith Braxton had career-highs of 17 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists to help St. Francis (PA) cruise to an 87-72 victory over Longwood on Wednesday night.

Josh Nebo scored 15 points, and Jamaal King added 15 points and a career-best nine assists for St. Francis (2-2), which shot 60 percent on 36-of-60 shooting. Randall Gaskins Jr. had 11 points.

Darrion Allen had 21 points, including 5 of 9 from 3-point range to lead Longwood (1-3). Khris Lane chipped in 17 points and four 3-pointers. JaShaun Smith had 14 points.

The Red Flash used a 20-2 run over a six-minute span to close the first half with a 42-25 halftime lead. St. Francis had a 21-point lead five minutes into the second half and cruised from there.

It was the first meeting between the schools.
