BALTIMORE (AP) Willie Rodriguez scored 15 points and hauled in eight rebounds before fouling out to help pull Binghamton out of the America East basement with a 68-56 win over Maryland-Baltimore County on Wednesday night.

Bobby Ahearn added 11 points for Binghamton (3-20, 2-6), which shot 46 percent from the floor on 52 attempts and never trailed in the game. The win snapped a four-game skid and lifted the Pride out of a three-way tie for last place now shared by UMBC and Maine.

Binghamton took control with a 17-5 run midway through the first half ignited by a bucket from Rodriguez and carried a 33-24 advantage into the break.

UMBC (3-18, 1-7) cut the gap to four with Devarick Houston's dunk to make it 36-32 with 15:40 to go but Binghamton steadily pulled away down the stretch.
