Greer Wright scored 31 points and Moussa Camara added 30 to lead Binghamton to a 91-65 blowout win over Maryland-Baltimore County on Thursday night in the first round of the America East Conference tournament.
The Bearcats (8-22) made nine of their first 11 field goal attempts, including 7 of 9 from 3-point range to take a 25-6 lead with 12:53 remaining in the opening half.
Binghamton extended its lead to 52-29 at halftime and finished 18 of 30 from the floor (60 percent), including 13 of 23 from beyond the arc (56.5 percent) in the first half.
Justin Fry scored 13 points, Laurence Jolicoeur added 11 and Travis King 10 for the Retrievers (5-25), who never led and trailed by as many as 35, 79-44, with 7:38 left to play.
No. 9 Binghamton will face No. 1 Vermont (22-7) - the defending AEC tournament champions - in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
