Big comeback helps Loyola Marymount top Pacific 76-71 in OT

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) Evan Payne scored eight of his 23 points in the final 2:24 of overtime - including 6 of 6 from the foul line - as Loyola Marymount rallied past Pacific 76-71 on Saturday.

Marin Mornar also scored 23 points, had 11 rebounds and a pair of blocked shots for the Lions (7-16, 3-8 West Coast Conference). David Humphries added 14 and Godwin Okonji 11.

Loyola Marymount, after trailing much of the game, scrapped into a 58-58 tie on a Payne layup with 47 seconds left in regulation after Mornar made a 3-pointer, a jump shot and a putback, closing the gap to two points each time. The Lions opened overtime on a 7-3 run and hung on for the win.

T.J. Wallace pulled the Tigers (10-13, 2-9) to 74-71 with a 3-pointer at nine seconds left in OT, finishing with 18 points. Alec Kobre added 17 points.
