Benzan's 15 points leads Holy Cross past Harvard 63-52

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) Patrick Benzan scored a career-high 15 points shooting 7 for 10 from the floor and Karl Charles added 14 to lead Holy Cross past Harvard 63-52 on Tuesday night.

Holy Cross (1-3) used a 15-3 run over the final 4:12 of the first half to take a 33-25 lead that it never surrendered after the break. The Crusaders after intermission went on a 16-5 run in the first seven minutes of the second half and Charles' 3 pushed the lead to 49-30.

Harvard trailed by double digits the rest of the way.

Malachi Alexander had four steals to lead Holy Cross which had a total of 11 on the night.

Corey Johnson led Harvard (1-2) with 17 points and Seth Towns added 14 for the Crimson. Though Harvard outrebounded Holy Cross 33-24, the Crimson committed 19 turnovers to just seven for the Crusaders.
