To the shock of no one, LSU freshman Ben Simmons is leaving college for the NBA.

ESPN reported the news Monday morning, with the 6-foot-10 phenom telling the network he planned to hire an agent and go pro on Sunday night.

His one season in college was a mess, but he's still expected to be the first or second name off the board.

The Australian phenom averaged 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists, but his Tigers finished 19-14 overall and missed the NCAA Tourney. The team opted out of playing in the NIT after getting routed in the season finale.
