Scott Saunders scored 16 points to lead five Belmont players in double figures in an 83-53 win over North Florida on Monday night.

Belmont fell behind in the opening minutes but used a 12-1 run to take the lead for good at 19-12 with 11:17 remaining in the first half. The Bruins led 48-30 at halftime and by at least 20 points for the final 10 minutes.

JJ Mann and Mick Hedgepeth each added 13 points, Drew Hanlen had 12 and Brandon Baker 10 for the Bruins (10-5, 3-0 Atlantic Sun Conference), who have won three in a row and five straight in the series..

Belmont made 18 of 33 field goal attempts in the first half and shot 48.4 percent (31 of 64) for the game.

Parker Smith scored 10 points for North Florida (7-8, 1-1), which scored 85 points or more in its two previous games, both wins.
