Belmont 106, Stetson 93
Ian Clarke led five Belmont players in double figures with 23 points and Belmont defeated Stetson 106-93 Monday night.
Mick Hedgepeth and Drew Hanlen added 17 points each, Kerron Johnson chipped in 16 and J.J. Mann had 11 for the Bruins (20-7, 12-2 Atlantic Sun Conference).
It was Belmont's highest score against a Division I opponent since scoring 117 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Jan. 20, 2001.
The Bruins tallied more than 100 points for the first time this season and the 11th time of their NCAA era, thanks to 57.8 percent shooting (37 of 64), going 12 of 20 from 3-point range. Belmont was also efficient from the free-throw line, making 20 of 21.
Stetson (8-18, 5-10) also had a good shooting night, making 52.1 percent from the field (37 of 71) but was just 4 of 9 from the line.
Liam McInerney led the Hatters with 31 points.
