Ball State rallies to beat Bowling Green 72-64

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) Franko House and Francis Kiapway scored 16 points apiece, and Ball State rallied from 13 down in the second half to beat Bowling Green 72-64 on Tuesday night.

The Cardinals (14-8, 5-4 Mid-American Conference) snapped a seven-game skid against Bowling Green (13-9, 4-5), which has lost four straight at home.

Zack Denny made four 3-pointers and finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Falcons.

Bowling Green had a seven-point lead at halftime, and three straight 3-pointers by Denny stretched the lead to 53-40 with 13 minutes left.

Bo Calhoun made a 3-pointer to pull the Cardinals to 58-53, and then made two free throws to spark a 11-4 surge to give Ball State a 64-62 lead with three minutes left. Kiapway added a layup and the Cardinals made 8 of 12 free throws to seal it.

The Falcons missed 9 of 10 field-goal attempts in the final 12 minutes.
