Army rallies for 88-83 win over Columbia

NEW YORK (AP) Jordan Fox scored a career-best 22 points as Army rallied late for an 88-83 win over Columbia on Wednesday night.

Fox was 8 of 14 from the field including four from distance for the Crusaders (2-3). John Emezie added 16 points, Matthew Wilson had 13 points and Adam Roe chipped in 11.

Army fell behind in the second period to trail 75-64 late then rallied on a Fox 3-pointer followed by a dunk by Roe and another 3 by Emezie to pull within one, 77-76, with 4:05 to play. Thomas Funk sank a jumper to put the Crusaders on top for good, 80-79, with 2:28 left.

Army trailed through much of the first period but Roe and Emezie sank back-to-back 3-pointers to spark a 15-2 surge in the final two minutes and the Crusaders led 45-38 at the break.

Nate Hickman led the Lions (2-2) with a career-high 30 points.
