Julian Simmons matched his career-high with 30 points and Army pulled away from Bryant late in the second half for a 76-66 victory on Saturday.

Simmons scored 10 points during a decisive 22-10 run in the final 6:05.

The Black Knights (3-1) led 41-32 at halftime, but the Bulldogs (1-3) opened the second half on a 14-5 run to tie the score at 46 on a Frankie Dobbs jumper with 14:15 to go.

The lead went back and forth, with Army pulling ahead for good 61-59 at the 4:24 mark on a Chris Welker 3-pointer.

Simmons was 12 of 24 from the field for the Black Knights, who shot 49.1 percent (28 of 57) compared to 35.3 percent for the Bulldogs (24 of 68). Each team hit nine 3-pointers.

Ella Ellis added 14 points for the Black Knights and Jeremy Hence had 11.

Dobbs and Alex Francis scored 19 points apiece for Bryant and Dobb also had eight assists.
