Allen Smith and Savalance Townsend each scored 13 points and Arkansas-Pine Bluff beat Alabama A&M 61-53 Monday night for its first win of the season.
Ricky Parks added 11 points for the Golden Lions (1-14, 1-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference), who have beaten the Bulldogs 12 straight times.
Demarquelle Tabb led Alabama A&M (5-8, 2-2) with 11 points, and Bo Amusa scored 10.
Pine Bluff led 30-24 at halftime but went more than 10 minutes without a field goal to start the second half. After the Bulldogs twice took one-point leads, the Lions regained the lead for good with an 11-5 run.

The both teams shot 32.7 percent, and they combined for 35 turnovers.
