Logan Aronhalt scored 18 points as Albany held off Bowling Green 56-55 in the finale of the Legends Classic on Sunday.
The Great Danes (3-5) led 56-53 after a jumper from Blake Metcalf with 1:35 left to play. Both teams failed to score over the next 1:12 before a layup from Cameron Black pulled the Falcons within 1 point with 13 seconds left on the clock.
Aronhalt missed the front-end of a one-and-one that would have extended the Albany lead, but Falcons guard Dee Brown was unable to hit the potential game-winning 3-pointer with 3 seconds remaining as the Great Danes held on for the victory.
Black led the Falcons (1-6) with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Scott Thomas added 13 points in the loss.
Tim Ambrose, 13 points, was the only other player in double figures for Albany.
