Casey Cantey made both his free throws with 4 seconds left to give Alabama A&M a 65-64 win over Alcorn State on Monday night.

The Bulldogs (4-12, 2-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference) led by 10, 63-53, with 6:27 remaining before turning it over three times as Alcorn State scored 11 straight. Twann Oakley gave the Braves a 64-63 lead on a 3-pointer with 11 seconds left.

Cantey finished with 17 points, going 9 of 12 from the foul line, and Alabama A&M made 10 of 14 free throws in the second half. The Bulldogs trailed 39-33 at halftime and shot 47.6 percent from the field in the second half (10 of 21).

Demarquelle Tabb added 16 points and four blocks for the Bulldogs, who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Anthony Nieves led the Braves (5-15, 2-6) with 17 points. Ken McDonald added 12 points and Xavian Rimmer 11 for Alcorn State.
