Demarquelle Tabb scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Casey Canty added 19 points as Alabama A&M evened its record with a 100-79 victory Monday night over Talladega College.

Tabb scored 17 of his points in the first half, including a pair of baskets in the final 1:35. The Bulldogs (1-1), who led just 46-44 with 2:13 to play, closed the half with an 8-0 run.

They put the game away at the start of the second half, going on a 14-2 run for a 68-46 advantage at the 15:48 mark. Alabama A&M got four of its 17 offensive rebounds during that stretch and outrebounded the Tornadoes 50-24 for the game.

The Bulldogs made 54.1 percent (20 of 37) of their shots in the first half and 54.8 (17 of 3) in the second.

Kerry Harvis scored 28 points to lead Talladega (1-4).
