Alabama 79, Baylor 76

JaMychal Green scored 22 points and Mikhail Torrance had 20 to help Alabama beat Baylor 79-76 in the Old Spice Classic on Thursday night. Senario Hillman added 15 points for Alabama (3-1). LaceDarius Dunn had 19 points and Ekpe Udoh added 17 for Baylor (4-1), which was looking to open the season with five consecutive wins for the third straight season. Green had 15 points, including a dunk with 3 seconds left, as Alabama took a 42-36 lead at halftime. The Crimson Tide scored the final six points of the first half. Green scored on another slam to put Alabama up 60-51 midway through the second half. Torrance's layup made it 69-59 with 4 minutes remaining. Dunn's basket got Baylor to 74-71 with 41.7 seconds remaining. Alabama secured the win by hitting five of eight free throws during the final 40 seconds.
