JaMychal Green scored 14 points to lead five Alabama players in double-figure scoring as the Crimson Tide cruised to a 76-37 win over Florida A&M in the season opener for both teams on Friday night.

Tony Mitchell added 12 points and nine rebounds, Senario Hillman and Charvez Davis 11 points, and Charles Hankerson 10 points as Alabama won its 1,500th game. Alabama became the 32nd Division I program and third SEC school to reach that milestone.

Amin Stevens led Florida A&M with eight points. The Rattlers shot only 23.1 percent from the floor and 9.5 percent from 3-point range.

Alabama scored the first 11 points of the game and pushed the lead to 32-11 on a 3-point shot by Davis at the 4:32 mark.

Alabama led by as many as 44 points, 76-32, when Davis made a 3-pointer with 2:13 to play.
