Alex Abreu scored 15 points to lead five Akron scorers in double figures as the Zips coasted to a 95-65 victory over Hiram College on Saturday night.
Nikola Cvetinovic and Brian Walsh scored 14 apiece, Nick Harney had 13 and Quincy Diggs 10 for Akron (2-0), which defeated Mississippi State 68-58 in its opener Wednesday night.
Cvetinovic had 12 of his points and Walsh had 11 in the first half, when the Zips shot 57.5 percent (23 of 40) and had an 18-0 run on their way to a 57-35 halftime lead.
Abreu scored 12 points in the second half for the Zips, the defending Mid-American Conference champions.
Aaron Stefanov scored 20 points to lead the Terriers, a Division III team that counted the game as an exhibition. Stefanov made 6 of 13 from 3-point range.
Akron has won 36 straight games against Hiram, which it hadn't played since 1987
