Air Force beats NAIA-member McPherson College 88-71

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) Hayden Graham scored 16 points and Air Force beat NAIA-member McPherson College 88-71 on Friday night.

Air Force went on a 19-2 run in the first half to take control and led 45-31 at the break.

Frank Toohey and Zach Kocur added 14 points apiece for Air Force (1-0). Graham was 7 of 11 from the field and grabbed five rebounds. The Falcons made 28 of 50 field-goal attempts and 24 of 46 free throws.

The Falcons, who returned 13 letterman and all five starters, have won 10 straight season openers at home dating to the 1991-92 season.

Chris Crook scored 18 points for McPherson (4-1) and Grant Raleigh added 12. The Bulldogs hit 12 of 34 3-pointers (35.3 percent) but went to the free-throw line 25 fewer times than the Falcons.
