Air Force 87, Tennessee St. 72

Air Force had five players score in double figures and shot 62 percent from the field in a 87-72 win over Tennessee State on Saturday night.

Michael Lyons led the Falcons (2-1) with 17 points and a career-high eight rebounds, and Tom Fow also scored 17. Evan Washington had 14 points with a career-high nine rebounds, Taylor Broekhuis added a career-high 13 points and Derek Brooks scored 11 off the bench.

The Tigers (1-3) scored the first four points of the second half to cut Air Force's lead to 29-26, but the Falcons went on a 10-0 run to take a 39-26 lead on a 3-pointer by Fow with 16:53 remaining. Air Force outscored Tennessee State 21-5 in the first five minutes of the second half to pull away.

Kenny Moore led Tennessee State with a game-high 18 points, while Patrick Miller had 16 and Jaquan Nobles added 11.
