Ioka takes Oleydong's minimumweight belt

Challenger Kazuto Ioka of Japan knocked out the previously unbeaten Oleydong Sithsamerchai of Thailand to capture the WBC minimumweight title on Friday.

Ioka sent Oleydong to the canvas with a body blow to the stomach and the referee stopped the fight 1 minute, 7 seconds into the fifth round.

The 21-year-old Ioka improved to 7-0 (5 knockouts) while the 25-year-old Oleydong, who was defending his title for the seventh time, dropped to 35-1 (13 KOs).
