Boxing is taking center stage Monday nights on FOX Sports 1.

Golden Boy Live! will debut Aug. 19 on FOX Sports 1 with a tripleheader headlined by Danny Jacobs (25-1, 21 KOs) vs. Giovanni Lorenzo (32-5, 24 KOs) for the vacant WBC Continental Americas middleweight title.

In the co-main event of the series debut, undefeated Eddie Gomez (14-0, 9 KOs) takes on veteran Steve Upsher Chambers (24-2, 6 KOs). The final fight on the televised card includes 2012 U.S. Olympian Marcus Browne (5-0, 5 KOs), who will face an opponent who has yet to be determined.

“The launch of FOX Sports 1 is a major event not only for boxing, but the sports world,” said Oscar De La Hoya, president of Golden Boy Promotions. “Our goal at Golden Boy Promotions is to bring boxing into the homes of sports fans and with this new series, more people than ever will have access to these great fights.”

Golden Boy Live! is slated to broadcast 24 boxing events over the next year on FOX Sports 1 after the network makes its debut on Aug. 17.

"On behalf of FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports, we're thrilled to create a destination for this franchise," said Bill Wagner, executive vice president of programming and research for FOX Sports. "On Monday nights, kicking off on Aug. 19, we'll have two fights a month, every other week.

“FOX Sports 1 is thrilled to kick off its relationship with Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions with an event of this magnitude,” said Patrick Crakes, FOX Sports SVP of Programming & Research. “This card shows just what Golden Boy can bring together, and being able to offer this kind of sports programming to the FOX Sports 1 prime time audience is
an awesome opportunity.”

Golden Boy Live! will give up-and-coming fighters a chance to be in the spotlight on a night not normally known for boxing.

“This is history that I believe will help all young fighters to build their name, build their records and become household names in order to continue to come up in the rankings and be superstars in the future," said Bernard Hopkins, IBF light heavyweight champion and Golden Boy Promotions partner.

"Boxing on Monday nights is something fans will be watching. Everything's done on Friday and Saturday, so what a great way to start the week by watching Monday night boxing.

“This is the first of the 24 shows and there's going to constantly be more fights [on FOX Sports 1]. When I was coming up, we had Tuesday night fights. Now, we have FOX Sports 1."
