Less than two weeks after his TKO 3 win over Nagy Aguilera, Chris Arreola (31-2, 27 KOs) will be back in action against Kendrick Releford (22-14-2, 10 KOs) on Friday at The Reno Events Center in Reno, Nev.

In his last contest, Arreola, weighing in at a slimmed-down 234 pounds made quick work of fringe contender Nagy Aguilera on the Andre Ward-Arthur Abraham undercard. In January, Arreola ended things in the first round against Joey Abell.

Arreola’s opponent, Releford, is a 6-foot-3 journeyman who has been in the ring with the likes of Tye Fields, Malik Scott and Alexander Dimitrenko. The Ft. Worth, Texas native had also flirted with competition in the cruiserweight division, dropping bouts to Troy Ross and Enad Licina.

On the undercard, Tony Thompson (35-2, 23 KOs) and Maurice Harris (24-14-2, 10 KOs) will square off in an IBF heavyweight title eliminator for the No. 2 spot in their rankings.

The card will be an ESPN2 Friday Night Fights telecast.
