It's that time of year again when arenas all across North America and Canada will start to get a little colder inside as rinks get installed in preparation for the upcoming NHL season.

Have you ever wondered how a slab of concrete turns into an amazing sheet of ice inside of a hockey arena?

The Dallas Stars Ice Operations Manager Cody Bateman takes you through the fascinating process, from laying down the first layer of water through painting and placing the logos down that we will watch Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn skate across all season long.
