Texas will use Lewis, Derek Holland, Yovani Gallardo, Nick Tepesch, Ross Detwiler and Yu Darvish as its starters early.

Both Lewis and Gallardo are pitching in Wednesday’s game against the Royals with Lisaverto Bonilla and Chi Chi Gonzalez also pitching. All four are expected to pitch two innings or 30-35 pitches.

The Rangers are slated to have a six-inning intrasquad game Sunday with six pitchers pitching for each side.

Darvish, Holland, Detwiler, Anthony Ranaudo, Ross Wolf and Alec Asher are pitching for the home team with Tepesch, Nick Martinez, Ross Ohlendorf, Anthony Bass, Jerad Eickhoff and Luke Jackson pitching for the visitors.

The club has a second intrasquad game Monday and the relievers will pitch in that game.

Pitching coach Mike Maddux said the club plans to have all 30 healthy pitchers make at least one appearance in the first five Cactus League games.
