Spurs-Mavs Game 2 scores top TV ratings on FOX Sports Southwest

Game 2 of the San Antonio Spurs vs. Dallas Mavericks NBA Western Conference first-round playoff series Wednesday, April 23 produced the highest-rated Spurs telecast on FOX Sports Southwest in nearly three years, averaging a 16.7 Nielsen household rating in San Antonio.

It was the best rating for a Spurs game on FOX Sports Southwest since a 19.4 on April 27, 2011 against the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 5 of the NBA Western Conference first-round playoff series.

Wednesday’s Spurs game was the No. 1 program of the day in San Antonio and more than doubled the next highest rated program, beating KENS Eyewitness News at 10 (8.1 rating).

An average of 151,400 television homes in San Antonio watched Wednesday’s Spurs game, which received its largest audience from 8:45-9:00 p.m. when it peaked with a 21.2 rating and 192,000 homes.

Wednesday’s Spurs rating ranks as the fourth best on FOX Sports Southwest since 2006 and No. 9 all-time.
