Report: Sooners Blake Bell suffers knee injury
Blake Bell’s move to tight end is just a few weeks old.
Now it appears Bell is out there, too. The former Sooner quarterback turned tight end, reportedly suffered a knee injury and will miss the rest of the spring, according to The Tulsa World.
The injury won’t require surgery but will put him out of the rest of spring practice, The World reported. OU’s annual Spring Game is set for April 12.
The University of Oklahoma has not released a statement about Bell.
Bell made the move to tight end at the beginning of spring practice. Trevor Knight earned the starting quarterback job at the beginning of last season, but Bell relieved Knight when Knight was injured. Bell led the Sooners to a road win at Notre Dame and also came into the game and threw the game-winning touchdown pass at Oklahoma State.
