Rangers claim righty from Arizona

The Texas Rangers claimed right-hander Chaz Roe off waivers from Arizona Friday.

Roe, 27, pitched in 21 games for the Diamondbacks last year with a 4.03 ERA. He was originally drafted by Colorado with a first-round pick in 2005.

Roe has worked exclusively in relief since 2012. He had a 1.11 ERA this year combined in 25 outings in Double A and Triple A.

Roe gives the Rangers 34 players on the 40-man roster.
