Phil Montgomery, who was the offensive coordinator at Baylor a season ago, is the head coach at Tulsa now but apparently is still close with the Baylor staff.

Montgomery’s team played at Oklahoma Saturday and the Sooners won 52-38. However, reported Jeff Lebby, the passing game coordinator at Baylor, was on the Tulsa sideline.

Lebby initially signed to play with the Sooners in 2002 but never played due to an injury. He did serve as an assistant coach at OU for four years.

"I don’t know what he’s doing here," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said at his weekly press conference. "It’s something that needs to be dealt with our people and the Big 12 office. I’ve got a team to coach. I’m sure they’ll handle those matters."

Baylor head coach Art Briles later responded to the controversy saying he didn’t know anything about the situation.
