O’Brien to call offensive plays for Texans

Texans head coach Bill O’Brien has yet to hire a new offensive coordinator for his new team, but whoever is selected for the job won’t be the one calling the plays for the offense on the sidelines

O’Brien told the Houston Chronicle earlier in the week that he will be the one calling all the offensive plays during games.

His announcement should come as no shock due to his past coaching experience at the college and pro level being solely on the offensive side of the ball, including being the New England Patriots offensive coordinator for the 2011 season before accepting the head coaching position at Penn State prior to the 2012 season.
