Former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Jason Hatcher recently said he chose to sign with Washington because he believes Robert Griffin III will take the Redskins to the Super Bowl.

Hatcher shared those thoughts and several others with NBC News4’s Dianna Marie Russini. The Washington D.C. sports anchor then tweeted out several of Hatcher’s responses on Thursday.

"RG3 can take me to a Super Bowl," Hatcher said of Baylor’s former Heisman Trophy winner who is now the franchise quarterback in Washington. "This is my last ride. I know he can; I know he will."

In regards to facing the Cowboys, the team he spent the last eight seasons with, the 31-year-old said he has no problem sacking Tony Romo. Hatcher, who signed a four-year, $27.5 million contract with Washington last month, had a career-high 11 sacks last season, leading to his first trip to the Pro Bowl.

How did some Cowboys fans feel about Hatcher going to a division rival? Well, the responses are pretty sad.

"I heard it all from Cowboy fans," Hatcher said, according to Russini. "I hope you die. I hope you tear your ACL. I hope your plane crashes. People forget it’s a business."

Wishing death on someone for leaving your favorite team? You can’t get much more pathetic than that.
