Baylor, SMU move season opener to Friday, Sept. 4
Baylor and SMU have moved its season opener back a day to accommodate television.
The two former Southwest Conference rivals will meet in Dallas on Friday, Sept. 4, to kick off the 2015 season on an ESPN network to be named later.
Last year, Baylor opened McLane Stadium with a 45-0 win against the Mustangs. Former Clemson offensive coordinator and Lake Travis head coach Chad Morris replaced interim coach Tom Mason, who took over for a retiring June Jones two games into SMU’s 1-11 season in 2014.
Morris will make his debut at Ford Stadium against the Bears.
