FOX Sports Southwest writer David Ubben selects his Final Four heading into Week 14.
The Ducks have three top 25 wins and the nation's best player: Quarterback Marcus Mariota. Last week's 44-10 win over Colorado did nothing to shake the Ducks out of the No. 1 spot here, even if the committee doesn't agree. Only Oregon State and the Pac-12 title game stand between Oregon and a playoff spot.

The Crimson Tide are the committee's No. 1, and shook off a slow start against legendary powerhouse Western Carolina for a 48-14 win. With Auburn and Missouri/Georgia ahead in the SEC title game, don't expect Alabama to surrender the No. 1 spot anytime soon, and might even earn it on this list before too long.

3. Florida State
New verse, same song. Florida State played what should have been an overmatched opponent--this time it was Boston College--and made it dramatic. The Seminoles were deadlocked at 17 for most of the fourth quarter, but a field goal in the final seconds kept their playoff hopes alive. Florida State may not be one of the nation's best four teams, but it's not falling out of the top four as long as it keeps winning. Saturday made 27 in a row for Jimbo and the Fightin' Jameises.
The Frogs couldn't have asked for a better off week if none of the teams ahead of them were going to lose. Baylor didn't earn any style points in a home win over Oklahoma State, Ohio State struggled against Indiana and TCU's best nonconference win, Minnesota, logged a road win at Nebraska. Mississippi State remains ahead of the Frogs in the committee's top four, but TCU could earn some style points with a lopsided win over Texas on Thanksgiving.

Just missed: Baylor, Mississippi State, Ohio State
Big games lie ahead for all three teams here. Baylor gets Kansas State in two weeks, a likely top 10 team. Ohio State's unimpressive win over Indiana won't help it gain any ground on the top four, but a likely date with Wisconsin awaits. Mississippi State may be able to beat Ole Miss and sit at home on championship Saturday while still earning a playoff spot.
