NCAA rules require football players who transfer to sit out one season before they are eligible to play in games, unless they receive a waiver. After Duke’s request for a waiver was denied earlier this month by the NCAA, the Blue Devils appealed.
Cash will be allowed to practice this season but can’t play in games until 2013.
