NARRATOR: It was top against bottom as already-relegated Koln took on champions Bayern München. Timo Horn, Koln's keeper, delighted the fans before the game by extending his contract. Lukas Podolski, who played for both sides, couldn't resist making an appearance at his hometown club's last home game of the season.

Bayern looked to be feeling the effects of their midweek Champions League semifinal disappointment. After 30 minutes, Niklas Süle gifted the home side the lead when he directed Christian Clemens' cross past Sven Ulreich to become the first Bayern player to score three own goals in a single season. Bayern players are used to breaking records, but this one was certainly not a welcome one.

It was an unfamiliar feeling for Bayern to go in at the break a goal down. The visitors were missing the kind of precision exhibited by darts superstars Phil "The Power" Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld, who were enjoying the occasion.

After what must have been a stern talking-to at halftime, Bayern were more like their old selves in the second 45. First, Thomas Müller set up James Rodríguez for the equalizer eight minutes into the half, which had shadows of one of the goals they conceded against Madrid. And then two minutes later, Müller cleverly held off the home defense to enable Robert Lewandowski to poke home his 29th goal of the Bundesliga campaign. It was Lewandowski's 150th goal for Bayern in all competitions.

Bayern continued to shake off their Champions League blues and made it 3 courtesy of substitute Corentin Tolisso. 12 minutes to play, and Bayern seemed to be scoring for fun. Koln had a chance of their own though five minutes later, but Bayern old boy Claudio Pizarro was only able to shoot wide under pressure. Champions Bayern strolled on to win 3-1 as Koln bowed out in their last home game with a result as disappointing as their season.
