NARRATOR: Wonderful atmosphere in Augsburg for the game against Wolfsburg and the return of Paul Verhaegh, Augsburg's former captain, who was now playing for the visitors. It was his first time back to the club, where he played over 200 games for them.

After eight minutes, Maximilian Arnold appeared to connect with the boot of Alfred Finnbogason, initially collecting a yellow card. But it took a further three minutes and a long, hard look from the video assist in Cologne before referee Tobias Stieler made his decision-- red. And Wolves were down to 10 men.

Augsburg were in complete control until five minutes before halftime. A long-range effort from Daniel Didavi made it 1-0 against the run of play, his third goal of the campaign. But what a mistake from former Wolfsburg shot-stopper Marwin Hitz. It was the only shot in the first half from Wolfsburg, but they were leading by one goal to nil.

After seven straight draws, the Wolves won their second of the season versus Freiburg last time out, but found it difficult to defend the lead. That lasted 51 minutes. Michael Gregoritsch turned well to find the space to strike home his sixth goal of the term, and it was all square. Nothing less than Augsburg deserved.

And eight minutes after the equalizer, they thought they had a penalty after referee Stieler pointed to the spot. But after the video review, it appeared that Casteels got a touch to the ball first before he collided with Caiuby, and Stieler reversed his decision.

But Augsburg finally broke through again on 78 minutes and got their just reward, courtesy of Finnbogason's sixth goal this season. It ended in a 2-1 victory for Augsburg against Wolfsburg.
