Zarate nears Dynamo Kiev move

Lazio striker Mauro Zarate is closing in on a move to Dynamo

Kiev, according to the Argentinian’s agent.

Zarate has played just one league game this season after falling

out with the management at the Rome club, and spent last term on

loan at Inter Milan.

It now appears that Zarate will be heading to Ukraine, with

Dynamo reportedly offering ?8million (?6.9m) for the forward.

Reports of the move have been confirmed by the player’s agent

Luis Ruzzi, who told Lalaziosiamonoi.it: “We spoke with the Dynamo

president about 10 days ago.

“Mauro was immediately left fascinated by their project. We are

talking about a permanent transfer.

“The boy is happy, he’s married to the cause and there are no

other alternatives for him – it’s either Lazio or Dynamo.”

Zarate, who spent time on loan at Birmingham City in 2008,

joined Lazio in 2008 and has five caps for Argentina.
