Before Friday, Dmytro Ulyanov was a virtually unknown, 22-year-old Ukrainian defender playing for Avanhard Kramatorsk in the country’s second tier. We’re using the past tense here because OH MY GOD LOOK AT WHAT HE DID:

You score yourself a flying scorpion kick goal, you put yourself on the map. That’s just how it works.

Not even the heavy metal soundtrack accompanying the video can ruin such beauty. Just look at the two dozen Avanhard fans in attendance lose their damn minds, as they should.

It was only Ulyanov’s second goal of his young professional career, but when one of those is a potential Goal of the Season contender, maybe it’s time to start thinking about a positional change?
