Watch this Dutch striker miss two separate penalty kicks in one minute

Next time Eredivisie club Heracles Almelo are awarded a penalty, don’t expect Paul Gladon anywhere near the spot. Gladon missed not one, but two penalty kicks in his side’s win over Willem II on Sunday, and he did it all in just over a minute.

The time between the 24-year-old forward's first miss and Heracles drawing the second penalty was just 30 seconds, but even though Gladon didn’t look particularly eager to take it (and despite some solid pouting from teammate Brahim Darri, who was), several of his teammates coerced him to try again, wanting to see Gladon complete his hat trick after already scoring twice in the second half. No dice.

Gladon’s double miss had no effect on the outcome as Heracles still eased to a 3-1 win. It did however cap an incredibly weird weekend in Dutch soccer. On Friday, a second-division goalkeeper allowed one of the most bonehead goals of the entire year, while on Saturday another Eredivisie match finished on a 60-yard goal seconds after an utterly chaotic scramble on the other end of the pitch.
